Pastor Michael Helwig was born in Milwaukee in 1971. The sixth of eight children, he spent most of his elementary years in Two Rivers, WI until his family moved to Northern Wisconsin. His father served as school principal and teacher in various Lutheran schools. His mother held various careers in the medical field as a registered nurse.
Pastor and his wife, Rachel (Seiltz), have five children, who are presently in their elementary years. Pastor Helwig has a love for music of all kinds and plays piano, guitar and mandolin. Weekly he looks forward to his free time with his family at home. He loves the outdoors; especially camping, boating and fishing. The Helwig family looks forward to the many ways they are welcomed into the ministry of their church family at Crown of Life.

·2003 to present … Pastor of Crown of Life Lutheran Church and School in Hubertus WI.
Pastor Helwig shares a common trust among his colleagues and parishioners that professional growth is a vital part of being a pastor in a world that is constantly learning and changing. He has been blessed to return to WLS for various post graduate studies, including several Old Testament Hebrew studies, practical parish concepts, and a recent guided trip to Israel.
