Internet Use Policy
Crown of Life Ev. Lutheran School
With Internet access available it is important that the service is used to support the mission of Crown of Life Ev. Lutheran School. Internet service for teachers and students is to be used to promote educational excellence by providing resource sharing, innovation and communication.
The Internet provides access to computers and people all over the world. Some material is not appropriate for Christians or is not of educational value. Because of the information that is educationally beneficial, we believe in the importance of students making Christian choices regarding the type of material they access.
Guidelines are provided to remind all Internet users of their responsibilities. Internet use is a privilege, not a right. Inappropriate use of the Internet will result in cancellation of that privilege. The faculty and/or board of education will determine what inappropriate use is, and their decision is final.
By signing below all users will be agreeing to the guidelines of this policy.
Use of the Internet is subject to the following guidelines:
Â·Students will use the Internet only to research specific information, not for browsing.
Â·A staff member must be present at all times while the Internet is in use.
If an inappropriate site is reached the supervising staff member must be notified.
ÂCommon courtesy and Christian values are to be observed.
Â·Copying commercial software is a violation of copyright laws.
Â·Use of the Internet for commercial activity, financial gain or illegal activity is not permitted.
